About Cumberland County, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Cumberland County is the fifth most highly populated county in the State of North Carolina. Fayetteville is the county seat, and the total population is roughly 320,000. Cumberland County was formed from portions of Bladen County in 1754, and it was named after Prince William Augustus, the Duke of Cumberland. Adjacent counties include Harnett, Robeson, Moore, and Sampson.  There are a variety of educational opportunities found in this county, including Fayetteville State University, Methodist University, and Fayetteville Technical Community College.

Cumberland County is home to a variety of attractions that both visitors and residents can enjoy. Since Fayetteville is the largest city in the county, a vast majority of the attractions located in Cumberland County are found here. Visitors can check out interesting exhibits at the Fayetteville Museum of Art or the Airborne and Special Operations Museum. Shopping can be enjoyed at the Cross Creek Mall, and the Cameo Art House Theatre is another popular destination. Neighboring Spring Lake is also home to outdoor recreational opportunities with Carvers Creek State Park.

The Cumberland County region of North Carolina is known for its humid subtropical climate zone, and although temperatures do tend to be moderate throughout the year, residents will want to invest in both home heating and cooling systems. For example, summers in Cumberland County are generally hot, but high humidity levels can make them feel even warmer. Severe weather is also a possibility, so residents will want to have access to an efficient air conditioning unit in order to stay comfortable during these times.

While spring and autumn months tend to be comfortable, winter will bring about milder temperatures. In January, the coldest month of the year, the average high temperature is 52 degrees Fahrenheit. While this may seem comfortable, overnight lows will fall below the freezing point, so it is critical that residents invest in a home heating system to prevent pipes from freezing, as this could be an extremely expensive repair.
