About St. Pauls, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

St. Pauls is a small town found in Robeson County, North Carolina. As of 2010, the population of this community had just recently surpassed 2,000 residents. This town was built around and named for St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, which was constructed in 1799. Later, the building of the Virginia and Coastal Railroad through the town helped to make the community a major producer of textiles, and three cotton mills were constructed.

Despite being a small town, there are a few notable attractions located in the community. There are several specialty shops located here, including Special Moments Floral and Ray’s Furniture Liquidators. Additionally, there are two historical areas within the community that history buffs may enjoy: the Kenneth McKinnon House and the Gilmore-Patterson Farm.

The most well-known of events in St. Pauls is the North Carolina Folk Arts Festival, which is held on the second Saturday in May every year. This event is held in order to showcase some of the local folk arts, including dances, wood carving, hand-crafted jewelry, pottery, cane weaving, and many others. There are activities for visitors of all ages, and the numerous stages located throughout the festival allow local acts to showcase their performance skills.

St. Pauls is part of a humid subtropical climate zone. Average high temperatures throughout the summer range from the upper-80s to low-90s, but with high humidity levels, it can feel even hotter. When these stifling conditions move into the area, residents are smart to have a cool place to retreat in the form of a home with an air conditioning unit. Likewise, winter weather is mild, but even though daily highs may reach the low-50s, overnight lows generally don’t surpass 30 degrees. Since these are freezing conditions, it is vital that residents have a reliable heating system in place to prevent pipes and plumbing from damage.
