There are a variety of historical sites located here including the Malcolm Blue Farm, which was created in 1825 and is now open to the public as a museum of local farm life.

Aberdeen is a popular destination for area outdoor enthusiast throughout the year due to its moderate weather conditions. Summers tend to be quite hot with high humidity, and average high temperatures in July tend to reach the low-90s. Severe weather with strong storms is also common during this time, and it is recommended that residents have their air conditionings units serviced throughout the cooler spring months in order to ensure that they are working properly when the harshest weather conditions strike.

Winters in Aberdeen tend to be mild, especially when compared to other portions of the United States. Overnight lows will drop below the freezing point about 60 nights per year, and while snowfall is minimal, it isn’t uncommon. Despite this lack of snowfall, it is still essential that residents plan ahead by selecting a reliable and energy-efficient home furnace or heat pump system.
