About Spring Lake, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Spring Lake is a growing town located in Cumberland County, North Carolina. As of 2013, the population had exceeded 13,000 residents, up from about 11,900 residents in 2010. This community was first incorporated in 1951, although its history goes back to at least the 1920s at which time the Spring Lake service station was opened by Arthur Purdy. Spring Lake experienced much of its growth beginning with World War II, and this is often attributed to the community’s close location to Fort Bragg.

There are several attractions located in the expanding community of Spring Lake. The most notable is Carvers Creek State Park, which provides visitors and residents with the opportunity to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. There are a variety of beauty salons located in the community, including the Inner Beauty Hair and Spa and Kenya’s Creations Hair Salon, and other specialty shops include the Cornucopia Market, Skyland Florist and Gifts, and Tobacco Station and Gifts. Families with young children may enjoy a trip to Noah’s Art or the Mega Play Center, and craft enthusiast may prefer a trip to HobbyTown USA.

Like most of the southeastern U.S., Spring Lake is part of a humid subtropical climate zone. The summers bring high temperatures and humidity to the area, and this can be a difficult time for allergy-sufferers. Not only does an energy-efficient air conditioning system keep homeowners comfortable during this time, but the systems can also improve indoor air quality by reducing dust, dirt, and allergens circulating through the home.

During the winter, temperatures tend to be mild with high temperatures in the low-50s. Since cold fronts do push into the area and may bring snowfall and even freezing temperatures, it is important that residents invest in a high-quality heat pump or furnace system to stay comfortable. Additionally, HVAC specialists recommend that residents have their systems serviced during the autumn to ensure optimal functioning when needed.
