About Lumberton, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Robeson County, Lumberton, NC serves as the county seat. As of 2010, the community was home to over 21,500 residents. The city is found in the Inner Banks region of North Carolina and is situated along the Lumber River. The community was founded by Revolutionary War officer John Willis in 1787, and while it was originally used primarily as a lumber shipping point for the Navy, much of the community’s growth occurred after World War II. The film Blue Velvet was set in this community, and notable residents of Lumberton have included actress Penny Fuller and Vonta Leach, a former fullback with the Baltimore Ravens.

There are numerous attractions and interesting things to do in Lumberton. This community has a variety of historical areas of interest, including the Humphrey-Williams Planation, the Alfred Rowland House, the Baker Sanatorium, and the Luther Henry Caldwell House.  Outdoor recreational opportunities are ample in Lumberton, as the Lumber River State Park flows through the community, allowing for boating, hunting, fishing, camping, swimming, and biking. Additionally, there are several golf courses in the community, including Cliffwood Golf Club, the Carolina Plantation Golf Club, and Pinecrest Country Club.

Lumberton residents will need to invest in both home heating and cooling systems to utilize at various times of the year. In the summer, temperatures tend to be hot with high humidity. July is the hottest month of the year, and the average high temperature sis 90 degrees Fahrenheit. However, since high humidity is common in the area, it will likely feel even warmer than this. An air conditioning unit will be needed to keep residents comfortable throughout the season.

Autumn and spring tend to be comfortable seasons, and even the winter is usually mild in terms of temperatures when compared to other areas in the U.S. Although high temperatures may reach the low-50s during January, overnight lows usually only hit about 30 degrees. Without a heat pump or furnace in place, indoor temperatures could become dangerously cold.
