About Red Springs, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Red Springs, North Carolina is a small town located in Robeson County. As of 2010, the population of this community was roughly 3,500 residents. Red Springs, which was previously named Dora Post Office, was incorporated in 1885, and it later became a popular resort and spa community through the mid-19th century. From 1896-1915, Red Springs was known as the home of a military school for a boys and a conservatory school for music for girls, and the conservatory is now known as the Flora MacDonald Academy, which is a private day school.

Despite the small size of Red Springs, there are a few notable attractions and places to visit within the town. The Red Springs Historical Museum includes a variety of interesting exhibits regarding early family life, military, farming, and education. There are a variety of hair salons located in the community for visitors who are in need of a change, including Joan’s World of Beauty and Kim’s Hair Gallery. Horticulture enthusiasts may also enjoy visiting one of the area floral shops, which include Designs by Dallas and the Family Florist.

Residents of Red Springs are able to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities throughout the year due to the moderate weather conditions. In the winter, temperatures generally reach the low-50s for average highs, but overnight lows can fall below the freezing point. For these reasons, it is important that homeowners invest in a proper heat pump or furnace to keep their homes comfortable.

Likewise, summers tend to be hot and humid, with high temperatures in the low-90s during July. However, heat waves can bring even higher temperatures into the area, and when coupled with excessive humidity, spending too much time outdoors can be uncomfortable. An energy-efficient air conditioner is a perfect solution, allowing homeowners to stay cool indoors while enjoying low utility bills.
